The Galloper OFTO is situated in the Outer Thames Estuary about 30km off the North Norfolk coast
The OFTO is a 353MW connection between the generators and onshore transmission system
The offshore substation is connected to shore by two 45km undersea cables, which come ashore in Sizewell. The onshore cables, which are about 0.85km long, connect to the onshore substation at Leiston.
